FLAG CARE - IT'S IMPORTANT! To get the most wear out of outdoor flags we offer the following suggestions and cautions.
High winds, especially when accompanied by rain will cause damage to flags.
Flags are damaged quickly when allowed to hit against anything. Some examples are bushes, trees, fences, decks, gutters and walls.
Take flags down during storms whenever possible. Bring flags indoors at night time to rest.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR FLAG.
Grandma knew not to leave clothes on the clothes line during a storm. She knew not to leave them there over night. Captains know to bring their sails in during storms. They know to put them away when the boat is docked. Children are taught not to crawl on the ground in their good clothes since doing so will wear holes in the knees. We are all taught to take care of our things.
Why is it then that people seem to totally forget about their flags until it's too late?
After all, a flag is made of cloth. How YOU take care of it will determine how long it lasts.
REFUND FRAUD ALERT People buy products or merchandise from a business, use it, and then return it for a refund.
For example, someone buys an expensive flag, uses it until it is worn out and then attempts to return it claiming it was no good.
One American study reported that 17 retail companies had a combined annual loss of 472 million from refund fraud.
